BALI STREET KIDS FOUNDATION is the theme of our year 2010. Our goal is to change minds and help those kids - Now and in the future. So now finally we got them on our Social Page and we hope more and more of you will help them to keep going and support those Balinese kids who need our help most. Ibu Putu, the founder, is almost alone in her work to get those kids a better life. Just look at the picture next to this article. Those kids once were standing on the side of the road bagging. Today they all go to school, live in a home, are save from adults doing them harm, learn skills they never learned before. Just look at those happy smiles... and it is not so difficult to help. If all of us help a little bit together and we all raise awareness more kids will have a better future and will not stand on the side of the road begging anymore. EXOFLY & BALIKITESURF are operating in Nusa Dua and I was hunting to find their contact for almost a year. Finally I got hold of Bernard on the phone while he was in Sumba. SANTAI - Okay... Have you been to the Bali Spirit Festival? Well if you have been there, you were lucky, as you could already try those great pillows Santai is doing. The crowed at the Bali Spirit Festival enjoyed breakfast, lunch and dinner in those wonderful fluffy, but still super comfortable pillows. One very well known expat yelled all over the place: "Does anyone know where to get them?" Yes, we do! At Santai in Seminyak - Bali. I contact Santai long before the Festival already to ask them to join, as I thought they are great pillows for kids rooms. Santai got those really nice half sitting/half lying pillow, which I think are fabulous for breastfeeding. Super comfortable, so mom and child can just nap away together on that fluffy cushy thing. Just look at the picture right... So, get down to Santai if you breastfeeding and you got always something in the way, I am sure you will find it super comfortable and just look at those colors.... SOL BEACH KIDS PARTIES are happening on beautiful Eco Beach in Canggu. The location is just great: Sol Restaurant is right up on a little cliff overlooking the beach. LITTLE TREE is one of those places which I have on my list for a long time. Since I saw the first time a publication about Little Tree I was thinking: I got to check this out! BALINESE CULTURAL CREATION in Denpasar where and my first visit there was overwhelming. The Center is full of Balinese Art pieces and offers so many different options, totally incredible. Wiewik, the wonderful Balinese manager of the place guided me around hotel rooms, a spa, a place for weddings, a fishing pond and large gardens, where girls were dancing and kids were learning how to do Balinese Batiks. From wood carving to silversmithing, batik and dance, gamblan playing and many many more, Balinese Cultural Creation Center is offering it all. ABC PRIMARY SCHOOL in Denpasar is close to Kerobokan and a great little school for children age two to year 6. The school if following the British Curriculum and I was extremely surprised by the amount of education children receive at ABC Primary School. Classes at ABC are small - means from 5 to 12 children maximal, the teachers are very friendly and follow the curriculum in a fun way. The kids enjoy learning at ABC and many parents have moved all their children to ABC, after they tried out with one child. In between high learning skills, there is still enough fun time for the kids, such as free play, music education such as drumming and Gambelan and swimming classes. Each child has to follow the rules of the school and parents soon find their child following those rules even at home. ABC Primary School is truly a school with heart and a great choice for those parents who like to see their child driving academically in all ways. JANE CHEN is well known in Bali and Jakarta for her award winning designs and as an artist. She has worked with dancers and performers from all over the world and organized many events herself. MELKA DOLPHIN THERAPY in Lovina is quite a unique experience for children with any kind of disabilities. Children from all over the world are now coming to join a dolphin therapy at the Melka Hotel.
