The page for those who live on a low budget and still want to enjoy a lot of fun with their kids. Some places charge a drink to join their fun, but I believe almost everybody can from time to time afford a drink out, so join in the FREE fun!

Popo Danes (once a year)

Full day of architecture for kids. Painting, costruction, fun and insides of an architecture office. Faciliated by one of the most famouse Balinese architects Popo Danes. Well organized, preorganized table groups, all provided by Popo Danes. Only in June during school holidays, you must contact for date. Classes are in Indonesian, but all the teachers speak English. Free Snack, drinks and lunch are provided. You can leave your child there until pick up time. Certificates are given to each child. RSOV one month ahead. About 30 - 40 kids attend each year. Bali Spirit Festival (once a year)

Kids are free to follow their parents and there are free workshops for kids. Sunday is free family day by dornation. All ages welcome. In March/April each year. Many free classes and workshops. Read more about the festiaval on Bali Spirit Kids

Dijon Kuta FREE Book Exchange

Once a month Dijon in Kuta is hosting a free book exchange at their place. Please contact them directly about dates when it happens, as it changes sometimes and can be canceled too.

Ubud Reader and Writer Festival (once a year)

The festival hosts many kids sessions in their daily program during the festival days. All classes for kids are free and big fun. Teachers from all over the world host the classes and school classes are welcome. Festival takes place in September/October once a year. DOG & CAT ADOPTION EVENT (2nd Saturday of EVERY Month)

Looking for a new pet? Chewy's & B.A.R.C have teamed up to find the best possible match for dogs and cats in need of a good home. This event is designed to raise animal welfare awareness in Bali as well as to raise money to rescue, feed, vaccinate, sterilize and provide medical treatment where necessary. Animals are free to good homes but we appreciate donations of any amount in order to cover the cost of vaccination. Come and check out what animals are available for adoption in front of Chewy's second Saturday of every month.   

Take a Bike Ride at Sanur Beach

Now this one is not a total free one, but with 5.000Rp for renting a bike on Sanur Beach, we like to share this with all off you. If you go down to Sanur Beach from Dunkin Donat, there is a place on the left hand renting bikes for 5.000rp. You than can drive up and down Sanur Beach, which is a nice drive of about 20 or 25 minutes one way. Stop at one of the warungs and have some local food. Enjoy the beach and a low budget day with your kids.
