GOING TO THE BEACH WITH KIDS - by Ni Zain
The other day I was sitting with some Balinese women chatting away. We talked about health and what is different now and when they where children. One said: Actually when I was a child I really enjoyed going to the beach, but now I always come home with an itch. - And you know what... I happened to me just a few weeks ago too and I am still fighting to get read of the stuff I picked up sitting with some friends on the beach. Right away I had a stinging pain. If you think this happened on a popular beach, no. I was just a small beach, not even to crowed, but some dogs around and some rubbish.
Beaches world wide are by today so overloaded that we need to be aware of a few things if we don't want to pick something on our day off or holiday. Specially kids who are playing with the sand, sitting in it more than we do.
First of all be aware of this: If people are going to a beach, they leaving lots behind. Old food, ashes and cigarette pieces, other children might have had a pie on that very piece of beach your child is building a sand castle. Dogs are leaving their left over anyway on the beach, sometime just a few centimeter under the surface. I had a nice step into such a thing the other day... Now beaches are so full and nobody washes them down. They would be much worse if the sea would not wash it down sometime or the rain and most important: The sun is burning away a lot of bad stuff. But what if it has been a bit cloudy? What if there was no rain for weeks? What if it has been low tide? Just put your imagination a little bit on... Okay, so now you got the first point.
Here a little list of what you can catch on the beach:
Fungal of many kinds
Worms
Bacteria
Parasites
Infections
and some other nasty stuff...
Second, if we still love to go to the beach we really should be aware of a few things. If you are an adult, than you normally sit on a bench. Your got your towel and your sarong. Only your feet might get in touch with the sand. But now we take your two year old toddler. No pans, no underwear. She is sitting naked on the ground. She is playing with the sand. Puts it all over her body. Eats with sandy fingers. Normal. Okay, but still. There are really a lot of things you can do:
* Always get your child an underwear or pans on. I always had at least 5 -6 with me, so if there was a little pie, no problem. This way there will be no dirty sand right in your child's most sensitive area. No, against very common believes I think our kids should not get a ton of sand in this area... A little short and a tank top are anyway better to play in the sand with, than a swim suit.
* Make sure your child is not eating the sand. Get a bottle of water to wash your child's fingers for eating. No, and you got to keep an eye on your 1 year old not to do so... Chat with your friends later or chat and look at your toddler.
* If your child is small, get a mat or sarong for it to sit on and play with your child next to you. Play in the sand right on the water side or between your legs, so nothing goes into the wrong place.
* Get your children playing in areas which just has washed down from the sea. At least there has been some natural cleaning of the sand.
* Make sure the beach you going to is not next to a river bringing polluted water down to the sea. Gosh, sometimes I cannot believe how blind people are...
* Explain your older kids why they should be careful playing in the sand. Kids do understand those issues and can make there friend aware of such a problem.
* Also keep an eye at ANY TIME on your kids. Make sure you know where they are. I had a bad scene a few weeks ago, where two boys ended up under a boat and luckily they swam out when a big wave came. But not all kids are so clever and lucky. The mother was drinking, smoking and chatting with friends, it took her 5 minutes to realize it was her son... Nice...
* Teach your kids to get all back what they have brought to the beach. I am talking about rubbish. I saw it many times all over the world. A big family came. Had a pick nick, a swim and after they left the place was a desaster.
In long term we all have to thin about how we going to handle our beaches. It is so naturally given to us from nature, but we breaking down one of our last places to connect to mother earth and to recover from every days live. 90% of the populotion loves the beach, so we should treat it with love...
So what can you do if someone in your family has a problem after going to the beach:
* Fungal: There are several fungal infections you can catch. There is no proper way I have found yet to get a skin fungal away - these are the white spots on your skin which can grow bigger and bigger, you see them most once you in the sun - And no, they are not an effect of sun exposure, they are an growing fungal on your skin. Colloidal Silver might help. Take it and spray it on. I also have developed my Anti Fungal Remedy, which works very well on vaginal fungal, dandruff, internal fungal and foot and nail fungal, but up to now I am not sure if it is powerful enough to kill the white spot fungal. It seams always to go and than come back again. Some stuff from your chemistry might work, but the trick is, if you get it of the skin it might turn inwards and cause bigger and nastier problems. If anyone has a white skin fungal remove trick, please sent it to me... I will publish it..
* Worms: Nice stuff two. Some can enter your body via the skin, swim in your lymphatic system and find their way into your intestal tract and grow and grow and grow... I often heard stories, that once back home kids had long weird things coming out of them, which are not from European or American nature... What if you live here? So make sure you taking Colloidal Silver and some anti worm treatments regular. Pumpkin seeds, fresh garlic and a good detox program might do a good job on this too. Stuff from a pharmacy can have quite some other nasty stuff in it. If it kills a worm, it might in long term kill you too...
* Parasites: Oh, they are a sort of difficult. Wormwood is working very well for them. A good detox and Colloidal Silver. The bad thing is that you never know if you got parasites or not. But anyway today most people are actually the home of several families of parasites. Has to do with our food we eating, with the toxic life we living and with parasites who are just getting stronger and stronger. I found it takes quite a while to get them out, but I believe in Holistic Healing for parasites.
* Infections and Bacteria: Take colloidal silver, take fresh garlic, lots of vitamin c from food and have a rest. If it gets to nasty see a Holistic Healer.
It is sad enough I have to write this article, but reality is a fact we cannot close our eyes for anymore. If you want to enjoy the day on the beach with your kids - which is for me the highlight of my week - , make sure they do not get anything home they shall not. It is in your hands. And it is really not to difficult. But as you saw. Even it happened to me. I was not thinking at the point when I got to sit down with my friends. I was sitting in the sand and one hour later I could feel something is stinging me around my butt and legs. At this point it was already too late. It's been 6 weeks now and still a little bit left over, but I believe it will be better my body is fighting it, than a chemical killing it or not.... I help my body with many things, such as baths in sulphur springs, colloidal silver internal and in the bath tube and many more. But I can only hope by writing these some of you will wake up and protect your kids better, than I did my own butt... And remember, even the remotest beach can have something in it... I remember one day a wonderful deserted beach full of sand flies... I was wondering why it was so empty, the answer came fast - the whole beach was full of sand flies. I felt like Pooh, the bear escaping the bees... I am pretty sure that beach has no pollution problems of human source...
Hey folks, enjoy your holidays, but don't switch off your brains...
